Museum of The Future

From the time you step into this article, get your Space Shuttles dialed into the year 2071! Seems unbelievable? It’s real.

Could you ever imagine a building that covers an area of 30,000 square meters and stands at 77 meters in height without a single column and with zero corners?

The Museum of the Future, is an architectural marvel, one of the most beautiful buildings in the world. It took around six years and it took millions of dollars to build this engineering marvel.

We all know Museums exhibit antique artifacts or present-day items. So, what exactly is the Museum of the future?

This Museum sits just in front of the Emirates towers looming high over Dubai city’s driverless Metro system. This building is unique and it looks like a human eye, an eye looking toward the future. As it is round in shape, there is not a single corner in this building and it also has no columns. The exciting factor is that the final look of the Museum of the Future was selected from designs submitted through a six-week competition.

The facade installation of the museum alone took over 18 months. The facade consists of 1024 unique panels (representing a kilobyte of data). Wait until you enter the seven-story-high Museum of the Future and you will realize how unique it is. The facade has letters written all over in beautiful Arabic calligraphy.

The Only building in the world covered with a Language!

And do you know what’s hiding inside? I know the secret… Would you like to know as well? Let’s hop in right away.

A glimpse into the world, 50 years from now is just as futuristic as the exterior. It has 7 floors with 5 wonderful chapters. Each chapter represents a unique concept &every nook and corner speaks about the future.

Chapter 1 – OSS Hope:

OSS (Orbital Space Station), is the place where you need an imagination. OSS Hope includes an amazing space shuttle simulation that starts and ends with a countdown, has realistic shuttle sounds, and movement (don’t worry, you’ll barely feel anything) and you can view the video clips of the futuristic Dubai through the ‘shuttle’s windows’ as you shoot off into space.

Once you’re docked at OSS Hope, you enter and disembark at the command center of the station. There are plenty of things to see here including exploring the missions the OSS Hope undertakes, possible discoveries, inventions, engaging with important projects, and more, with planet earth as inspiration.

Chapter 1 -The Heal Institute:

The Heal Institute features a library of life, or as it is called “The Vault of Life”. Here, you’ll find a DNA library having the DNA codes of over 2,400 species (Some of them are extinct) where you can see the details that are invisible to the naked eye.

Here, we can experience the wonders of Nature, the sounds of the rainforest with plenty of greenery, we will also learn more about the importance of climate change and what we as humans have to do to preserve it.

It’s not an Institute anymore, it is a “Digital Amazon”.

Chapter 3 – Al Waha:

As the name sounds different, the place will also surprise you.

Al Waha – An Unprecedented “Wellness Centre for the future!” Which literally translates to “Oasis” in the English language.

The future of wellness is a trip to a sanctuary, free from technology. Here, you will be brought to a ‘safe Sanctum’ where you can find inner peace for your mind and body.

So here at AI Waha, you’ll be encouraged to visit all areas to re-energize yourself, leaving technology behind. In some places, we need to experience this alone while in others there will be group participation. You can even make a wish at the end. That’spretty cool, isn’t it?

Chapter 4 -Tomorrow Today:

Question? ‘What can we expect about how the world will be 50 years from now?’
Tomorrow Today focuses on technology and it provides insights into how designers, researchers, and corporations are responding to the technological innovations of our time.

Technology has the power to change and transform the way we live. From a relaxing environment (AI Waha), you can now have a very clear mind to welcome Tomorrow Today. Here, you can explore near-future technologies from the world’s leading innovators & more.

Chapter 5 – Futuristic Heroes
